Lending and Marketing Event Brings More Consciousness to Conferences
When Michigan credit union professional gather for the MCUL & Affiliates 2013 Lending and Marketing conference, slated for Feb. 12-13 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, they will have the opportunity to give back to those in need.
Building on the credit union motto of "people helping people," MCUL & Affiliates is bringing consciousness to conferences with a Corporate Social Responsibility activity of collecting canned goods and sundry items for the West Michigan Food Bank. With the winter season in full swing in February, it will be a perfect time to support those who are in need with donations of food and home goods.
Attendees are welcome to bring nonperishable food items, toiletries and pet supplies to the conference. Items such as jars of peanut butter, cans of tuna, bags of rice, toothpaste and dry or canned pet food will be collected. A full list of needed items is available here and those who are interested are welcome to collect products from their members, coworkers or chapters, knowing that everything will be redistributed to those in need here in Michigan.
The Lending and Marketing Conference has built a solid reputation as an outstanding value for in-state training that features national-level speakers and topics. Featuring two complete agendas, one each for lenders and marketers, attendees may mix training to build a customized learning experience--ideal for those who wear multiple hats at their credit unions.
