Credit Restoration and Growth Topics Offered at Lending and Marketing Conference

As credit unions continue to seek ways to increase lending and grow in the marketplace, MCUL & Affiliates stands ready to provide solutions to these challenges at the upcoming Lending and Marketing Conference, taking place Feb. 12-13 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids.

Offering both one- and two-day registration options, the highly-popular event brings together nationally-known speakers for a quality training experience without the added expense of out-of-state travel.

The second day of the conference will feature two general sessions. Credit score authority James Hogles will be delivering a lending session on "How to Improve Members’ Ability to Qualify for a Loan," where he will discuss tips and tactics to assist members and to help credit unions make more loans. Hogles will also facilitate a breakout session on "Credit Restoration: Facts, Myths and How to Strengthen Scores".

Josh Allison, founder of Think Cafe and the relationship development manager for Horizon CU in Washington will be on-hand for the marketing general session titled, "The New Consumer," that will help credit unions identify the opportunities available to reach a growing group of conscious consumers. In addition, Allison will address attendees on the topic of "Member Growth" to examine best practices in new member recruitment, existing member retention and community creation.

Attendees at the popular event are welcome to choose training from either the Lending Conference agenda or the Marketing Conference agenda, mixing topics of interest to create a customized learning experience – particularly useful for professionals who wear multiple hats with many different responsibilities. Early registration savings are available for those who act by Jan. 25 and hotel rooms are being held at a negotiated rate until Jan. 18. For more information and to register, click here.
