Volunteers and CEOs Make the Most of March in Michigan at Spring Leadership Development Conference

There will be some "wearing o' the green," some splashing fun and some creative projects taking place when credit union CEOs, volunteers and their guests head to the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mount Pleasant for the Spring Leadership Development Conference, March 15-17.

Michiganders are generally ready for winter to be over by mid-March and to be looking for signs of spring, which makes a weekend get-away a timely opportunity to squeeze in some valuable training which is important for directors and executive leaders.

Compliance topics pack the Spring Leadership Development Conference agenda, including updates on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Bank Secrecy Act training. And popular speaker Tim Harrington will be present to deliver the keynote address "Are You a Credit Union of the Future?" plus two additional breakout sessions.

The event takes place the same weekend as St. Patrick's Day and features a dinner banquet complete with Celtic dancers who will welcome attendees to learn a few steps and get in on their act. Guests are welcome to join attendees and enjoy a complimentary game room to interact with other guests, or to register for a workshop to craft a magnetic photo frame board. Those interested in family-friendly activities may secure negotiated room rates on hotel accommodations at the nearby Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel which has recently opened.
