Attendees can still register for the MCUL & Affiliates 2013 Lending and Marketing Conference, taking place at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids, Feb. 12-13. And participants are being encouraged to bring non-perishable or canned food items, along with sundry or pet goods, to be donated to the West Michigan Food Bank. The effort is part of a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to provide another means for credit unions to support Michigan communities, particularly during the cold winter months when donations are often low and need is at a high. A full list of needed items is available here.
Hundreds are already registered for the popular conference, including 10 credit union CEOs, and the negotiated hotel savings rates has been extended on a space-available basis. With an agenda packed-full of the training and industry-experts that might otherwise be sought at a national event, the conference has a loyal following of participants who have come to value such expert-level insights at an in-state conference with exceedingly less expensive travel costs.
The Marketing Conference features Mark Arnold, who is going to delve into "Community Marketing With a Generational Twist" as a keynote topic and the Lending Conference has Pierre Cardenas delivering the keynote "Trends Hitting the Banking Industry." A CFPB mortgage session is also slated for the Lending Conference.
With more than two dozen sessions being delivered, attendees have the added bonus of choosing training from either conference agenda, which is ideal for those who wear multiple hats at their credit unions. Many attendees will also extend their stay one additional day for the Feb. 14 event, Compliance From A-Z which will also be held at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.
