U.P. Chapter Raises Money for PAC with Chocolate Heart Sale

One of our most delicious federal PAC fundraisers is coming up this month.

The U.P. Chapter’s “Buy a Chocolate Heart” has been one of its most successful fundraisers. Order your chocolate hearts early and take advantage of Sayklly’s delivery services. In 2012, the U.P Chapter received orders for more than $18,000 in Sayklly’s Chocolates for MCULLAF.

The Michigan Credit Union League Legislative Action Fund is the federal political action committee for MCUL & Affiliates. MCULLAF makes campaign contributions to candidates for the U.S. Congress, and also contributes to CUNA’s PAC, and the Credit Union Legislative Action Council. MCULLAF’s purpose is to provide the opportunity for individuals interested in the future of the credit union movement, and to contribute to the support of worthy candidates for federal office who believe and have demonstrated their belief in the principles to which the industry is dedicated.

With your participation in the U.P. Chapter’s fundraising efforts, the MCULLAF has been able to contribute and support these worthy candidates. For the 2009-10 election cycle, the MCULLAF disbursed more than $157,000 directly to federal candidates and committees, 53 percent to Republicans and 47 percent to Democrats. It is your continued support and involvement that provides the league with the resources to elect credit union advocates to Congress.
