CUBE TV Update

CUBE TV is the MCUL's online video portal, with regular updates of topics and information for CUs:

CU National Update: For the week of Feb. 11, CUBE TV’s Mona Shand looks at a decision from the U.S. Postal Service that could impact hundreds of credit unions, as well as what sort of credit union-friendly legislation you can expect to see introduced in Congress this year. Plus, in this week’s CU Community Spotlight, hear how Nevada students are drawing the future of their credit union.

CU Compliance Connection: Small Credit Union Definition - At the NCUA Board meeting on Jan. 10 the NCUA amended the definition of a small entity raising the asset threshold from $10 million to $50 million. This new threshold will bring regulatory relief to an additional 2,270 credit unions. Join this presentation on the Compliance Connection to review the benefits of the new rule.

Product Showcase: MCUL Grassroots Coordinator Ashley Ligon, along with credit union officials discuss the importance and ease of the Lapel Pin Program, MCUL’s premier state PAC fundraiser.

Michigan Priority Report: One of the most important and impactful initiatives coordinated by MCUL & Affiliates is the cooperative advertising CU Link campaign. In his January Michigan Priority Report, MCUL & Affiliates CEO David Adams explains how this campaign plays an important part in spreading the credit union message and why supporting the campaign is critical for Michigan credit unions.

Special Reports: The 2012 Grand Raffle campaign to benefit the MCUL Federal PAC, MCULLAF, sold more than 40,000 tickets, raising more than $200,000 through 144 participating credit unions – a new record for the campaign. The 2012 winning ticket was sold by Lake Michigan CU in Grand Rapids, MI, to member Deanna W. of Kentwood. Thanks to all those who participated in the 2012 Grand Raffle.
