Host a Financial Workshop, Win a $10,000 Scholarship

Interested in winning a $10,000 scholarship? Think any of your young members might be?

DoSomething.org is sponsoring a contest to get young people to teach their peers about financial planning.

The website invites young people, ages 13- to 25-year-olds, to submit a photo and explanation of a workshop they host about saving money.

Those interested in hosting a workshop can choose one of three topics: budgeting, credit or debt.

The website offers a free handbook that hosts can use to lead their workshops.

Those who tell the website about their workshop and provide a picture by April 30 are entered to win a $10,000 scholarship. Friends will also be eligible to win a $1,000 scholarship.
