... CFPB: Overdraft Services Update, Remittance Transfers & Payday Lending will be offered as a webinar on April 11, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (EST). The session will cover the impact of CFPB on overdraft programs, disclosure rules for remittance transactions (Reg E) and new requirements for pay day lending. ... A Wire Fraud audio session will take place April 4 from 11 a.m. to noon (EST) in cooperation with the Illinois CU League. The session is priced at $129 per connection and will explore why wire transfer fraud continues to plague the credit union industry. The discussion will include why callback verifications are losing their effectiveness for authenticating wire transfer requests not made in-person, the hacking of personal email accounts providing a new twist to wire fraud and options to consider for transfer requests not made in-person.
