ABC News.com recently posted a positive story about credit unions. The headline says it all: “Fed up with your bank? Consider a Credit Union.”
The story linked directly to the CUNA/league consumer web site, aSmarterChoice.org, which helped generate more than 3,000 successful searches that day for credit unions—more than four times what the site typically sees. These stats show how important telling the credit union story can be in getting more consumers interested in credit unions.
“Creating consumer awareness is a key component of our system initiative to Unite for Good so we can achieve our shared vision: ‘Americans choose credit unions as their best financial partner,’ ” a report from CUNA said.
