NCUA LETTERS TO CREDIT UNIONS: NCUA Approves OPIC Obligations for Federal Credit Unions 

The NCUA issued a legal opinion letter in May stating federal credit unions are authorized to invest in obligations that are fully guaranteed by the Overseas Private Investment Corp. The opinion could have positive consequences for both credit unions and for overseas cooperatives, according to the World Council of CUs, which sought opinion from the agency.
