Agency Information Request Survey on Arbitration for Credit Card Accounts

The CFPB issued a request for comment seeking approval from the Office of Management and Budget to conduct a survey of 1,000 credit card holders as part of a study of mandatory pre-dispute arbitration agreements. The survey will explore the extent of consumer awareness of dispute resolution in their credit card agreements, as well as consumers’ assessment of such provisions. The survey will seek information regarding consumers’ perceptions and valuations of the two primary forms of dispute resolution: arbitration and litigation.

The CFPB’s request for comment can be found here.
