Genisys Awarded for a Legacy of Giving
On Dec. 8, Genisys Credit Union was awarded the Moceri Companies Building Awareness Award at the Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce’s Silver & Gold Awards. The credit union received the award in recognition of building their company awareness through a legacy of giving.
“The Genisys name and brand has been built on a commitment to community. The place you can come to and be on a first name basis with our team, see us at an event in your community, or be a resource along your financial journey,” said CEO Jackie Buchanan. “Our sincerest thank you to Moceri and the Auburn Hills Chamber for the recognition of our efforts.”
Building on over 85 years of impact, Genisys exemplifies the credit union narrative of “people helping people,” from volunteering in its communities to raising funds for non-profit organizations and promoting financial literacy.
The credit union's approach in giving is built on a commitment to its communities and understanding each community has unique needs that change as local economies strengthen, communities grow and landscapes evolve.
To give back, Genisys holds strong partnerships with area nonprofits; annually volunteer more than 4,000 hours of their time at community events; host financial reality fairs with area schools to strengthen students' understanding of financial literacy & budgeting; provide micro-grant opportunities for small businesses and more.
“I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to our members and team for their unwavering support to build our legacy,” said Buchanan. “And to our communities, your continued partnership on events, fundraising campaigns, and more has allowed us to give back and build awareness of the credit union. We are forever thankful for the opportunities provided and are grateful for your collaboration.”
