Financial Counseling Training

Lead members to a stronger financial future. America's Credit Unions Financial Counseling Certification Program (FiCEP) helps credit union professionals guide members through current financial situations and prepare for the future while enabling all credit union staff to become more confident in their interactions with members.

Michigan Enhanced Self Study Program

Designed to enhance the self-study Financial Counseling Certification Program offered by America's Credit Union's, the Michigan Enhanced Financial Counselor Training Program uses the America's Credit Unions FiCEP textbook as a learning foundation and adds elements to help participants grasp and retain counseling concepts and knowledge.

High School Personal Finance Challenge

The Michigan Personal Finance Challenge gives high school students the opportunity to put their financial knowledge to the test through real-world financial planning scenarios, teamwork, and friendly competition. Hosted by the Michigan Council on Economic Education (MCEE), students develop financial solutions, present recommendations to expert judges, and compete for prizes and the opportunity to represent Michigan at the national competition.

The MCUF is a proud sponsor of this statewide competition, helping students build financial knowledge, confidence, and real-world money management skills.

Credit unions are encouraged to partner with local high schools to recruit student teams, provide mentorship, and help students prepare for the competition.

$martPath: Financial Education for Grades K-8

$martPath is a fun, interactive, online teaching resource that helps elementary and middle school students build essential money management and economic skills through engaging lessons, videos, and activities.

Thanks to funding from the Michigan Credit Union Foundation, the resource is available completely free to Michigan teachers, credit union financial educators, community organizations, and anyone interested in bringing financial education to young learners.
