Advantage One Uses Community Enrichment Grant to Help Fish & Loaves
The Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) provided a Community Enrichment Grant in the amount of $14,000 to Advantage One Credit Union to assist in the purchasing of a new delivery van for the local Fish & Loaves Community Food Pantry.
Advantage One spearheaded the project but received additional financial support from Zeal Credit Union and Community Choice Credit Union. In conjunction with Advantage One’s support partnership initiative with Fish & Loaves they are also providing financial education and counseling support for those that utilize the food pantry.
MCUF Foundation Specialist Andrea Tucker, and MCUF Board Member Casey Clark, recently attended an Open House for Fish & Loaves, where the new van was presented with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
MCUF Community Enrichment Grants are available to help boost credit union initiatives aimed at improving financial wellbeing for people, families, businesses and communities in Michigan. MCUF works with cooperative donations to support credit union community enrichment, financial education and credit union development initiatives.
