OMNI CCU Announces Debi Southworth as CFO

omniOn Dec. 1, OMNI Community Credit Union announced the promotion of Debi Southworth to chief financial officer (CFO).

As CFO, Southworth aims to elevate the credit union's financial health by emphasizing strategic budgeting and robust risk management and fostering long-term stability. Additionally, she is committed to cultivating collaboration among team members to consistently deliver exceptional products and services to the membership.

“I am excited to see Debi take over the CFO responsibilities at OMNI,” said CEO Mark Cramer. “Throughout her tenure, she has demonstrated her ability to think both strategically and analytically as part of our executive team. I’m confident that Debi will continue to drive the Credit Union’s financial strategy while utilizing her vast financial institutional experience to bring the Credit Union to new heights.”

Southworth brings over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. She began her career in 2000 at Bank One (JP Morgan) and also US Bank in the Commercial Banking department. She joined OMNI in 2009 and for the past 15 years, has held various roles such as credit manager, chief lending officer, and most recently, chief operating officer. She has sat on the Financial Committee for the Battle Creek Community Foundation, served on the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce Board for 10 years, and has also served on the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce Finance Committee for the last three years. Debi currently volunteers her time on the Michigan Credit Union League Government Affairs Committee and the Michigan Credit Union Foundation.
