MCUL's Team Behind the Scenes is an article series running through the end of the year that's designed to give the Michigan credit union community more insight into the people who make up our dedicated team.
What was your first job?
My first job was nannying two boys for several summers. I spent those summers shuttling them around and playing an absurd amount of laser tag. Their mom worked for CUSG and passed my name along to Renee Werth, which led me to MCUL!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Event planning was always the goal, and I once dreamed of organizing big Hollywood events like the Oscars or the Super Bowl. But now, I’ve come to realize that life is a whole lot better planning for MCUL!
Is there a book or podcast that has inspired you recently?
"Don't Believe Everything You Think" is one of my favorite books (alongside Fourth Wing). It’s my go-to whenever I need to quiet my mind and step back from the dreadful spiral of overthinking.
What does a perfect day off look like for you?
My perfect day starts with sleeping in, binge-watching a TV show, and scrolling through TikTok. I’d probably throw something in the crockpot to enjoy later. Instead of running errands, I’d head to my hometown to spend time with my family and nephew. The day would end with me changing my sheets, resetting my house and watching a movie in bed!
