CU Lenders May Fulfill Periodic Training: SAFE Act, ECOA, FCRA, TILA, HMDA and More!

Under Regulation Z, loan originators involved in credit transactions secured by a dwelling must undergo periodic training covering federal and state law requirements applicable to their day-to-day origination activities.

The upcoming virtual session on Mortgage Loan Origination will cover disclosure requirements (including TRID), the collection of government monitoring information, the ability to repay/qualified mortgage rule, additional compliance requirements associated with high-cost mortgages and higher priced mortgage loans, appraisal and flood insurance rules, fair lending responsibilities and more

All participants will walk away with increased knowledge on the SAFE Act, Truth in Lending Act/Reg Z, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act/Reg X, Equal Credit Opportunity Act/Reg B, Fair Credit Reporting Act/Reg V, Fair Housing Act and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act/Reg C.
