Spring Leadership Development Conference for Volunteers; Registration Open

Seats are filling fast for the popular Spring Leadership Development Conference, being held Apr. 25-27 at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort, with additional hotel rooms being held at the family-friendly Soaring Eagle Waterpark.

The band “Kansas” will be in concert at the Soaring Eagle the evening of Sat., Apr. 26 (likely filling hotel rooms faster than usual) and a link to direct concert tickets is available on the event website here.

The conference delves into serious topics that board members need to understand such as “Future-Proofing Credit Unions: AI Deepfakes and Fraud in the Digital Age,” as well as a timely “Advocacy Update.” Breakout sessions include topics such as “Succession Planning and Talent Development,” “Ripped from the Headlines: Hot Topics in Credit Unions,” “Digital Defense: Empowering Credit Union Members Against Fraud” and “Top 10+ Security Risks at Financial Organizations.”

Additionally, directors may fulfill their annual training requirement with “Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering” training.

Guests are welcome to join participants, purchase a meal package, attend the Saturday night dinner with entertainment and choose optional activities such as Bingo and the “Java Nice Day! Coffee Brewing” demonstration.
