2023 CUNA GAC: NCUA's Hood Discusses Recent Regulatory Reforms, DEI & Financial Inclusion

National Credit Union Administration Board Member Rodney E. Hood spoke today at the 2023 Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C., where he discussed the progress that has been made through several regulatory reforms that provided credit unions greater flexibility while ensuring the safety and soundness of the system. Board Member Hood also discussed recent changes to the chartering process used by the NCUA and the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the credit union system.

During his remarks, Board Member Hood discussed the economic outlook and its potential implications for credit union performance in 2023. He also provided examples of credit union efforts to foster greater economic opportunity and financial inclusion in their communities.
