Education & Networking

MCUL is dedicated to keeping the Michigan credit union movement informed throughout the year with an events schedule that tackles our industry’s most relevant and paramount topics. Aside from the knowledge and best practices shared by experts, each of MCUL’s education events offers a great networking platform, where credit union professionals can connect and share insights and takeaways with one another.

Top Reasons CU Directors are Heading to Mount Pleasant in April

Credit union directors who serve as volunteers have fiduciary responsibilities in their roles, making the MCUL Spring Leadership Development Conference a highly attended event for these professionals.

Some of the top reasons for attending the Apr. 25-27 conference at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort including learning about AI Deepfakes and Future-Proofing Credit Unions from Fraud and meeting MCUL President/CEO Patty Corkery, who will share a brief League update.

This is also the perfect time for participants to understand the “Critical Process of Succession Planning and Talent Development,” find out “What Boards Should Know About Top Security Risks” and “Master Understanding Financial Statements and Ratios for Credit Union Success.”

In addition to an “Industry Advocacy Update,” attendees can stay aware of “Credit Union Hot Topics Ripped Right from the Headlines," as well as fulfill training requirements for “Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering.”
