Advia's New Hires and Internal Promotions

Advia Credit Union recently announced various internal promotions and new hires within the organization. 

Here’s a look:

Kaitlyn Wendt, Treasury Management Officer

Wendt recently joined Advia as the Treasury Management Officer in the Wisconsin region. With a background in the financial industry, previous management experience, and an associate degree in business administration from Blackhawk Technical College, she brings valuable expertise to her role. Wendt is deeply involved in her community, volunteering at the YWCA of Rock County and Rock County Cancer Coalition and will soon serve as an ambassador for Forward Janesville. At Advia, she will oversee the entire Treasury Management sales cycle, including business development, prospect qualification, needs analysis and closing sales. 

Crystal Schnepp, Assistant Branch Manager

Schnepp was recently promoted to Assistant Branch Manager in Advia’s Northeast Michigan region. She has been with Advia since 2016 and previously held the position of Financial Solutions Specialist. In her new role, Schnepp will oversee the teller team, guiding their professional development. She looks forward to helping her team achieve their goals and working alongside them.

Amber Thornton-Scales, Assistant Manager of Card Services

Thornton-Scales recently joined the Advia team as Assistant Manager of Card Services in the Southwest Michigan region. She brings over 20 years of experience in financial services, along with a robust educational background that includes an undergraduate degree in visual communication and two MBA degrees in organizational management and strategic leadership, all from Spring Arbor University. 

In her new role, Thornton-Scales will support the card services team, collaborate with various partners and vendors, and assist in overseeing operations management and projects. Her extensive experience and education will be invaluable assets as we continue to enhance our services and operations.

Josh Councell, Treasury Management Officer

As a new employee of Advia, Councell has assumed the position of Treasury Management Officer in the Southwest Michigan region. He brings over 15 years of experience in the financial industry and holds an associate degree in marketing from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. In his new role, Councell will assist commercial members with deposit accounts and electronic banking services, attract new commercial members to Advia, and guide them on transaction processing and fraud protection. He is committed to upholding and enhancing the high level of service Advia members have come to expect, while also focusing on expanding our commercial sector, and prioritizing members' best interests.

Samantha Ralston, Treasury Management Officer

Advia proudly welcomes Ralston as the new Branch Sales and Service Manager II for the Battle Creek area. With a decade of experience in the financial industry and a bachelor’s degree in social work from Western Michigan University, she first began her career at Advia as a part-time teller in 2014 at the Springfield location and is thrilled to return. In her new position, Ralston will lead her team through training, mentoring, and coaching initiatives aimed at delivering outstanding service to Advia members while maintaining efficient branch operations.

Colton Johnson, Manager of Analytics

Johnson, who recently celebrated his second work anniversary with Advia, has been promoted to Manager of Analytics and will be based out of the Southwest Michigan region. Formerly a Business & Reporting Analyst, Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University in Business Analytics and Computer Information Systems. In his new capacity, he will lead a team of analysts in driving Advia's strategic initiatives.

Jesse Bromley, Member Contact Sales Assistant Manager

Bromley, who joined Advia in February 2021 as a Training Specialist, brings seven years of credit union experience to his new role as Member Contact Sales Assistant Manager. Passionate about inspiring growth and development in others, he will now help lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional service and ensuring members fully benefit from the financial advantages at Advia.
