Frankenmuth Credit Union Blood Drives Earn Beacon of Hope Award
Frankenmuth Credit Union (FCU) has been honored with the prestigious Beacon of Hope Award by Versiti Blood Center of Michigan in recognition of its steadfast commitment as blood drive champions. Since hosting its first blood drive in 1990, FCU has consistently demonstrated its dedicated commitment to community health and welfare through regular blood donation efforts.
Over these past three decades, FCU has supported a lifesaving mission – first with Michigan Community Blood and now Versiti Blood Center of Michigan. Since 2014 alone, FCU’s efforts have resulted in the collection of an impressive 1,037 units of blood, positively affecting the lives of 3,150 individuals in Michigan.
“We are deeply honored to receive the Beacon of Hope Award from our friends at Versiti,” said CEO Vickie Schmitzer. “This recognition is a testament to our wonderful staff who have generously donated over the years. We are incredibly proud to contribute to such a wonderful cause which makes a meaningful impact in our community and state.”
