Northland Awards $10K in Scholarships
Northland Area Federal Credit Union has awarded $10,025 in 2024 Jerry Erickson Higher Education Scholarships to ten local member students.
Northland leaders determined that the Jerry Erickson Scholarship program is a cornerstone of the company's commitment to education and the development of future leaders in our communities. The recipients, who are Northland members in good standing, with a minimum 3.00 grade point average, pursuing further education, are chosen through a rigorous process that evaluates their academic achievement, leadership, community service/involvement and essay content.
"Northland named the scholarship program after the late Jerry Erickson, a retired volunteer and Veteran who served the credit union for nearly 50 years," said CEO Pete Dzuris. "These young scholarship winners have demonstrated outstanding potential. We are honored to perpetuate Jerry Erickson's legacy and positively impact our community. Jerry was known for his tireless service and dedication to Northland. We are indebted to his knowledge, vision, and commitment, which propelled us to where we are today and continues to inspire us.”
