MCUL's Team Behind the Scenes: Bradley Willett
MCUL's Team Behind the Scenes is an article series running through the end of the year that's designed to give the Michigan credit union community more insight into the people who make up our dedicated team.
What was your first job?
I was in the Navy from 2005-2010.
What is your favorite project to work on at MCUL?
Of the things I touch regularly, my favorite is the Compliance Office Hours. It is a microcosm of the collaborative principles of the credit union movement and you can really feel how much people want to help each other.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
So many things. I had so many interests and each one of them had a draw. I wanted to be in a punk band, a pilot and a zoologist. At one point, I wanted to be a minister. I wanted to be a captain of a shipping vessel, an FBI agent and the owner of a seafood restaurant. To this day, I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up.
Is there a book or podcast that has inspired you recently?
A book called "The Creative Act" by Rick Rubin.
Do you have any big plans for 2025?
Nothing too terribly big, but I will be dropping my eldest off at college in 2025, which is a different kind of big.
