CU Directors SPRING Ahead with Key Insights, Hot Topics and Headlines at MCUL Spring Leadership Development Conference
With all that's taking place in the news, credit union volunteers are clamoring to gather with peers for conversation and to attend sessions such as "Ripped Right from the Headlines: Hot Topics in Credit Unions" with industry expert Jeff Rendell at the MCUL 2025 Spring Leadership Development Conference, April 25-27 at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mt. Pleasant.
Last-minute decisions makers may still register by emailing educate@mcul.org to attend the event where they will also meet and hear a brief "Update from the League" by MCUL President/CEO Patty Corkery, who will be asking how the League can further support directors in their roles.
Other top reasons directors are registering include staying current on fraud issues, with the agenda including presentations on "Learn About AI Deepfakes and Future-Proofing Credit Unions from Fraud" and "Find Out What Boards Should Know About Top Security Risks."
With uncertainties about the economy and the pending financial support needs of members, participants are also seeking information on "Understanding Financial Statements and Ratios for Credit Union Success" to be able to identify stability as well as to fulfill training requirements for "Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering.
