Moon Chapter Supports Read Muskegon with Golf Outing Proceeds
The Moon Chapter recently donated a portion of proceeds from its annual golf outing to Read Muskegon, a nonprofit dedicated to breaking the generational cycle of illiteracy in Muskegon County.
Chapter representatives presented the donation to Executive Director Melissa Moore, who expressed deep appreciation for the support. She shared that the contribution came at a critical time, as the organization recently learned that some of its state funding had been reduced in the Michigan budget.
Since 2005, Read Muskegon has worked to remove barriers to literacy for all individuals, leading community-based efforts to create systemic change and build a more literate Muskegon County. Learn more here.
The remaining proceeds from the Moon Chapter golf outing will support Young Professional development initiatives within the chapter, continuing its commitment to community service and professional growth across the credit union movement.
