MCCU Awards $8K to Marshall Scholars
Marshall Community Credit Union (MCCU) awarded eight $1,000 scholarships to 2024 graduating high school seniors at MCCU’s Annual Meeting held on Friday, April 19, 2024. MCCU’s scholarships are awarded to students in recognition of their academic performance, extracurricular activities, community service, and leadership.
The 2024 MCCU Scholarship recipients are:
- Lily Arnold
- Brielle Belcher
- Hannah Eggleton
- Malena Johnson
- Madeline Kue
- Emily Lemon
- Aidan McPartlin
- Alexandria Winnie
“We received 23 scholarship applications from area school districts. Deciding on the submissions is quite possibly one of the hardest decisions for the marketing team. We celebrate the success of all the applicants, and it’s rewarding to support these members for their combined achievements in academics, philanthropy, and community involvement,” said Financial Education Specialist Laura Van Dyke. “On behalf of the MCCU Board of Directors, we celebrate these wonderful students on their hard work and dedication.”
Since the scholarship program’s inception in 2014, MCCU has awarded $72,000 in scholarships to area seniors pursuing additional education via college, university, or technical school.
“Being able to provide financial support to our youth members as they take their next steps in life is important to MCCU, whether those steps include a technical school, a college, or a university,” added Van Dyke.
