Board Governance Certification Proving Popular Choice for MCUL All on Boards: Director's Symposium
Over 60% of credit union volunteers registered for the upcoming MCUL All on Boards: Directors' Symposium have signed up to attend at least one of four new board governance sessions being offered during the event. A Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering session, which is required training for directors, is also on the event agenda.
The new governance sessions offer optional testing that will take place onsite. Participants are encouraged to bring a mobile device, tablet or laptop if they choose to test, and those who pass will receive a certificate to keep on file -- ideal records to share with examiners. Topics include: • Board Conduct: The Foundation of Effective Governance
• Building Stronger Boards Through Diverse Perspectives
• Ethical Governance: Protecting Trust Through Integrity and Confidentiality
• Fiduciary Foundations: The Director's Role in Effective Governance
The event takes place Sept. 18-20 at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa in Traverse City. Registration is still available with hotel rooms now on a space-available basis. Learn more here.
