Members First Credit Union Named One of the Best Credit Unions to Work For in 2026
Members First Credit Union (M1) has been recognized by American Banker as one of the Best Credit Unions to Work For in 2026, earning the No. 40 spot on this year's list. The recognition marks the fourth consecutive year the Midland-based credit union has received the honor.
The annual Best Credit Unions to Work For program, presented by American Banker in partnership with Best Companies Group, recognizes credit unions that excel in creating positive employee experiences through workplace practices, benefits, leadership, and culture. Rankings are based on a combination of workplace policies and employee feedback.
Employee survey results highlighted the strong engagement and commitment of the Members First team. According to the survey, 93% of employees said they are willing to go above and beyond to help the credit union succeed, while 92% said they would recommend Members First's products and services to a friend.
Team members also cited the organization's culture, community focus, sense of belonging, workplace flexibility, and opportunities for professional growth as key factors contributing to a positive employee experience.

The recognition comes as Members First celebrates 90 years of joy, underscoring the organization's continued focus on supporting employees, members, and the communities it serves.
