Three Michigan Credit Union Leaders Earn CUDE Designation
Three Michigan credit union professionals are among the 53 credit union leaders nationwide who recently earned their Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) designation through the National Credit Union Foundation's Credit Union Development Education (DE) program.
The Michigan participants recognized in the Foundation's October 2026 graduating class include:
- Courtney Gazso, PFCU
- Kevin Mankowski, Christian Financial Credit Union
- Sabrina Oshelski, Limestone Financial Credit Union
The immersive week-long program helps credit union professionals deepen their understanding of the cooperative principles that set credit unions apart while exploring innovative ways to advance financial well-being within their communities.
Held at TruStage headquarters in Madison, Wis., the program combines collaborative learning, group projects and interactive discussions focused on leadership, community impact and the credit union mission. Participants also took part in community service activities supporting local organizations addressing food insecurity.
The October class marks the final in-person DE program of 2026 and joins a global network of more than 3,600 Credit Union Development Educators representing 35 countries since the program launched in 1982.
"Every DE class brings together people with different experiences, perspectives and ideas about how credit unions can make a difference," said Lauren Culp, Executive Director of the National Credit Union Foundation. "For a week, they have the space to ask big questions, learn from one another and reconnect with why this work matters."
MCUL congratulates Courtney, Kevin and Sabrina on this achievement and their commitment to advancing the credit union mission in Michigan and beyond.
